By entering this contest, you agree to the following terms:

1. Eligibility

• Open to all filmmakers and creators, 18 years or older, regardless of skill level or location.
• Employees of Seek Discomfort and their immediate families are not eligible.
• The contest runs from September 20, 2025, to December 3, 2025.

2. Submission Guidelines

• Each participant may submit an unlimited number of original video entries.
• Videos must be no longer than 60 seconds in length.
• Vertical or horizontal are both welcome.
• All entries must be submitted through the official contest page at seekdiscomfort.com/videocontest.
• Videos must be original work. No AI-generated, copyrighted, or plagiarized material is allowed.
• Any stock footage must be properly licensed.
• Any audio used must come from Epidemic Sound. All participants receive a free 2-month trial, exclusively for this contest, when registered through https://share.epidemicsound.com/seekdiscomfortSEP25 . Use code SEEK50 at epidemicsound.com.
• All individuals featured in the video must have given their consent. Proof of consent may be requested.
• Approved Seek Discomfort logos and branding assets may be used (see contest support files).
• Please refrain from featuring other brands’ logos in featured videos.
• Submissions must be in video format and as high quality as they’re able to provide.

3. Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged on:

• Creativity & Storytelling – How well the video captures the spirit of “Film the Adventure.”
• Cinematic Quality – Visual impact, editing, and emotional resonance.
• Authenticity – Staying true to the Seek Discomfort ethos of adventure, boldness, and exploration.

Finalists will be selected by a panel chosen by Seek Discomfort, and a public vote will decide the top 3. All decisions are final.

4. Prizes

• 1st Place: $1,000 Creator Grant + Film an official Seek Discomfort campaign with us +
  1-year subscription to Epidemic Sound.
• 2nd Place: $250 Seek Discomfort Gift Card + 1-year subscription to Epidemic Sound.
• 3rd Place: $100 Seek Discomfort Gift Card + 1-year subscription to Epidemic Sound.

Winners will be announced between December 15–17, 2025 on Seek Discomfort’s Instagram and via email.

5. Copyright and Usage Rights

• Participants retain full ownership of their videos.
• This license is intended to provide a platform to showcase featured submissions, honorable mentions, finalists, and winners, giving creators genuine exposure to a wider audience. By submitting, participants grant Seek Discomfort a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and publish the videos for promotional purposes related to this contest and future brand marketing for up to 2 years, including on Seek Discomfort’s social media, website, and marketing materials.
• Seek Discomfort will always aim to credit creators whenever their videos are shared.

6. Disqualification and Liability

• Seek Discomfort reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with these rules or are deemed inappropriate or offensive.
• By entering, participants agree to indemnify Seek Discomfort against any claims arising from their submissions, including copyright infringement or privacy violations.
• Seek Discomfort is not responsible for technical issues, failed submissions, or lost files. By entering, you release Seek Discomfort from any liability related to the contest.

7. Privacy

Personal information collected during the contest will be used solely for contest administration and promotional purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

8. Changes and Cancellation

Seek Discomfort reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

9. Governing Law

The contest and its terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Seek Discomfort is based.
