Trees For The Future (TREES) is a globally recognized organization with 35 years of experience, dedicated to restoring landscapes and empowering rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Their mission is clear and profound: "Plant Trees, Change Lives." They work directly with local farmers, providing tools and knowledge for a resilient future.

  • 370 million trees planted since 1989.
  • 240,000 People directly impacted, experiencing improved food security and increased family income.
  • 38 Million trees planted via the FGA in recent years, restoring 56,000 acres of degraded land.

TREES implements the innovative Forest Garden Approach (FGA), a holistic agroforestry system that transforms degraded lands into productive, sustainable ecosystems. This regenerative restoration model improves soil health, boosts biodiversity, and creates vital food and income sources for families. It’s an efficient and precise solution that integrates nature and human livelihood, demonstrating how environmental collaboration can foster lasting prosperity.

TREES’ was recognized as a 'UN World Restoration Flagship' in 2024 by their methodology is at the forefront of nature-based solutions, and their Forest Garden Approach directly addresses nine of the seventeen UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • Eco-Conscious Materials: We prioritize the use of premium eco-friendly fabrics, including organic cotton (GOTS certified, grown without harmful pesticides and with reduced water usage), recycled polyester (made from post-consumer plastic bottles), and recycled cotton (repurposing pre-consumer textile waste).
  • Resource-Efficient Production: Our manufacturing partners employ state-of-the-art processes to significantly reduce environmental impact. This includes 7x less water usage in dyeing than average, with advanced filtering and recycling systems. Energy efficiency is paramount, utilizing solar power and intelligent lighting solutions.
  • Virtually Zero Waste: Through comprehensive recycling programs, fabric scraps are repurposed into other goods, ensuring less than 1% of textile waste ends up in landfills.
  • Ethical Labor Practices: Our supply chain is built on principles of fairness and respect. Our factories are WRAP or Sedex certified – the highest global standards for ethical, humane, and lawful manufacturing. This guarantees no sweatshops, no child labor, no forced labor, and ensures fair wages, comprehensive benefits, and safe, healthy working conditions for all employees.
  • Low-Impact & Non-Toxic Dyes: We utilize eco-friendly, non-toxic dyes that are OEKO-TEX certified, minimizing chemical impact on the environment and workers.
