Go Outside

Why would you go to the Louvre...

When you can just look at the pictures online?

This was the question Professor Peter Younkin, asked Thomas during University.

None of the students raised their hands.

No one knew the answer.

It’s true that you could get a lot more information from your computer.

You could learn more about the Louvre and what it contains through a simple Google search.

So… why go?

Why spend the time and money to fly to France?

Professor Yunkin explained the value simply…

When you’re there in person you take it all in.

The smells, the other tourists, the sounds, the temperature.

Your senses are stimulated.

Your brain begins to rewire itself.

Novelty causes your neurons to fire.

And for a fleeting moment, you are fully present to the experience of being alive.

To the experience of some of humanity’s most magnificent creations.

That is why you should go in person.

To slow down to the speed of inspiration.

To let it hit you in full.

For four years now, people from all over the world have been experiencing Yes Theory through screens.

There have been hundreds of meetups around the world that we’ve organized and that you’ve organized, too.

But we think that only scratches the surface of what we can do together.

See, we envision creating spaces where people can come together, connect deeply, and seek discomfort together.

Where you can slow down and live the Yes Theory.

And that’s why we’re excited to announce our first ever Yes Live experience.

On the night of October 12th in Los Angeles, we will be hosting an event that will bring you out from behind the screen and into a new world.

You will be there with 320 other Yes Fam members.

Moving, connecting, learning, breathing, dancing and singing.

We have a lineup of incredible speakers, emcees, instructors, and experiences lined up.

We want to bring you fully in.

To feel inspired and connected when you leave.

If you’re interested, you can find out more and get tickets here.

Plus, great news - proceeds will go to Yes Project, the charity we started to empower youth to achieve their dreams.

As always, thank you for watching.

Thank you for supporting.

And now... thank you for participating.

We couldn’t be more excited to start creating and attending events like this.

From the beginning, this was the goal...

More offline connection.

More real life experiences.

The best part?

This is just the start.

Love,

Matt

PS - If you can’t make it to Los Angeles for this event, don’t worry. We are testing this format out and hoping to bring these events to a major city near you in the future.

  • I know maybe you won’t read this but if you do, I wanted to thank you for the message you put out there and tell you that you are a huge inspiration to me and to a lot of other people around the world. I’ve always thought that living happily implied having a stable job, and other things “normal” people had, but you’ve opened my eyes to a world I didn’t even know. A world where your dreams have a more significant value than what you own or what you look like. And you’ve made me realize that I haven’t found my passion, but I won’t stop until I do so.
    Thank you for everything :)
