My mentor always says, “You’ll know you’ve found ‘the one’ when you feel like you’ve tricked her into being with you.”
When you’re sure she’s way out of your league.
And you just can’t believe your luck.
And that’s not just the person you marry.
It’s your friends.
Your job.
The place you live.
You’ll know you’ve made the right choices when it all feels too good to be true.
My “work” consists of brainstorming and executing the craziest ideas with my best friends.
I get to see my little brother every day.
I live in Venice where it’s 60 degrees and sunny today…and it’s February.
How’d I get so damn lucky?
I didn’t settle.
Like Steve Jobs said, “If you haven’t found it yet. Keep looking.”
You’ll know when you do.
It will hit you.
Daily.
You’ll know because you’ll be excited to get out of bed on Mondays.
You’ll know because you won’t feel like the smartest or funniest person in the room.
You’ll know because you’ll wake up next to someone and an uncontrollable smile will come across your face.
The, “I can’t believe this is real life” smile.
That smile is possible for all of us.
Don’t settle.
Keep seeking.
It’s waiting for you to find it.
You’ll know when you have.
Love,
Matt
